We all have an inner power that keeps us safe and on the right path. We feel that spiritual strength most clearly when our creative mind is actively pursuing something that taps into our deepest feelings. My wish is to encourage others to find their own creative power and shine their light.
Marilyn Rose has been a professional artist since 1992, painting the landscape, still life, figure and portrait in an impressionistic style. She studied with dozens of renowned artists through classes, workshops, books and videos, and she never stops learning and growing as an artist.
As a signature member of the American Impressionist Society, an associate member of the Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists and formerly the founder and chair of the Sacramento chapter of the California Art Club, Marilyn has had paintings juried into many prestigious local, state and national competitions since 2004 and has won several awards. She has been an avid plein air landscape painter for much of her career and has participated in several plein air events. More than 500 of her paintings are in private collections across the U.S. and in the U.K.
Marilyn has taught oil painting for over 10 years in various schools and organizations and she is currently teaching a weekly oil painting class in St. George, Utah.
